Nowadays, aluminum is increasingly used to reduce weight. Because aluminum is more expensive, often only the structure is produced from aluminum. Aluminum is used to a greater or lesser extent for structures above the waterline to lower the center of gravity and thus improve the rocking motion, the rest is often still steel."
