Nickel alloys
Resistant to high temperatures and corrosion: nickel alloys are widely used in industry for these properties. View the range of Merrem.
Nickel
Nickel is abundant in the Earth's crust. In fact, it's the fifth most abundant element. This ensures that it is also widely used in products. From shipping to industrial applications and from consumer products to architecture, nickel can be found almost everywhere.
Important properties of nickel:
- High melting point
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Excellent oxidation resistance
- Very suitable for alloy
Nickel is widely used as an alloying element. Nickel alloys are often found in technical materials due to their very good corrosion resistance and good properties at high temperatures. At Merren & la Porte we are happy to help you with the best nickel alloys.

Monel ®, Inconel ® and Incoloy ® are registered trademarks of Special Metals Corporation.
Inconel®
Name for a group of nickel alloys. Nickel is alloyed with chromium and iron (NiCrFe) for this. Inconel alloys are resistant to high temperatures and corrosion.
Incoloy®
Alloy of nickel, chromium and iron. This nickel alloy is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion.
Monel®
Alloy of nickel and copper. This nickel alloy is resistant to substances such as sodium chloride. Corrosive substances have no effect on Monel. Because of this, it is widely used in industrial devices.
