Titanium Grade 3
Commercially pure Titanium Grade 3
Titanium Grades 1 through 4 are so-called alpha alloys. So Titanium Grade 3 also falls into these. The difference between these grades is in the number of interstitial elements added to each grade.
These titanium grades are not alloyed and are therefore considered commercially pure. In general, it can be said that the ductility and yield strength go up with the titanium grade. The difference in physical properties is mainly in the amount of interstitial elements. Titanium Grade 3, like the other commercially pure titanium grade, is used for corrosion resistance applications where cost, ease of fabrication and welding are important.

About commercially pure titanium
Commercially pure titanium has an excellent strength to density ratio and good corrosion resistance. This makes titanium alloys such as this one suitable for the fabrication of various components. The thermal stresses of titanium structures are lower than in other metals due to the low thermal expansion of titanium.
About Titanium Grade 3
Commercially pure titanium Grade 3 is stronger and less deformable than titanium Grade 1 and 2. It has the same good corrosion resistance in all kinds of environments. Titanium Grade 3 is used in a variety of industries. Examples include aerospace applications or other industrial applications that require reasonable strength, such as chemical, medical and marine applications.
Titanium Grade 3 is a non-magnetic alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. Particularly in highly oxidizing and slightly reducing environments, Titanium Grade 3 has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. This alloy is a slightly stronger version of Titanium Grade 1 and 2. At low temperatures, this alloy has good impact resistance properties.
