286 alloy
Alloy 286
A-286 is an iron-based superalloy. This alloy is characterized by superior strength at temperatures up to 538°C and excellent oxidation resistance up to 816°C.
Are you looking for stainless steel of superior strength and good oxidation resistance? Then the alloy 286 alloy is a perfect solution.
About superalloy 286
Iron-based superalloy is age hardening. This alloy is used when high strength is required for long periods at temperatures from -195 °C to 538 °C. Would you like to use this alloy at temperatures between 704 and 816 degrees? You can, but the high strength properties will then be of shorter duration. This alloy has an oxidation resistance up to 816 °C in continuous use. Is intermittent use involved? Then temperatures up to 982 °C are possible.
