HAYNES 556 alloy
HAYNES 556 alloy is a superalloy strengthened by solution hardening that combines high resistance to sulfidation and carburization with high oxidation resistance, good machinability and high strength to 1095°C. Alloy 556 is widely used in components for waste incineration and industrial heating plants, chemical/petrochemical industries, power generation and in gas turbines. In short, wherever high-temperature strength and resistance to aggressive environments are required.
The Haynes 556 alloy in brief
- UNS R30556
- Iron-nickel-chromium-cobalt-alloy
- Resistance to corrosive environments with high temperatures
- This alloy is used in waste incineration, heat treatment, calcination, chemical processing, galvanizing, refining, boiler and gas turbines.
Product description Haynes 556 alloy
Prolonged use at high temperature is usually limited to 1095°C. The alloy is further very resistant in molten zinc and shows excellent properties as a universal welding material for various Ni-Co and Fe-based alloys. Alloy 556 is cold or hot deformable and has very good weldability.
