HAYNES 214 alloy

HAYNES 214 alloy is a nickel-based super alloy with exceptional resistance to oxidation up to 1260°C. Although HAYNES 214 alloy can be hardened by a precipitation treatment below 925°C, this alloy is designed for use in the solution annealed state from 980°C. In this temperature range, the alloy has a reasonable strength comparable to that of Alloy 601.

Haynes 214 (UNS N07214) in brief

HAYNES® 214® alloy is a nickel-chromium-aluminium-iron alloy. This alloy is designed to provide optimum high temperature oxidation resistance for fabricated materials. At the same time, this alloy must offer the possibility of conventional forming and joining. This alloy offers excellent oxidation resistance up to 1260°C and is used in demanding, specialty gas turbine parts (such as honeycomb seals, burner splashbacks and other static limited oxidation parts).

  • Heat Resistant Alloy
  • Nickel-Chromium-Aluminium-Iron Alloy
  • Oxidation resistance up to 1260 °C
  • Widely used in gas turbines for honeycomb seals in foil structures, combustion splashbacks and other static oxidation limited parts.

The automotive industry has many applications for the 214 alloy. Here it is used as a material for the combustion head in auxiliary heaters (for example, in military vehicles). In the industrial heating market, this alloy is used for refractory anchors, furnace flame caps and rotary calciners for processing chlorine compounds.

Product description Haynes HTA - Haynes 214 alloy

HAYNES 214 alloy is widely used in industrial heating installations at high temperature and in specialized applications such as 'clean firing' of electronic and ceramic components. When annealed, HAYNES 214 alloy can be cold formed. Hot forming takes place at temperatures above 1040°C. HAYNES 214 alloy is weldable, but precautions must be taken in case of crushing. Furthermore, HAYNES 214 alloy has exceptional resistance to carburization and high temperature chloride containing environments.
