HAYNES 25 alloy
HAYNES 25 alloy (also known as L605) is a cobalt based super alloy with exceptional high temperature strength, good oxidation resistance up to 980°C and very good resistance to gaseous sulfidation. This alloy is widely used in renowned gas turbine aircraft engines, as balls and raceways in bearings as well as in various industrial applications.
Haynes 25 alloy (UNS R30605) in brief:
HAYNES® 25 alloy offers excellent strength, good oxidation resistance up to 980°C and relatively good resistance to wear and galling. This alloy is widely used in gas turbine parts
- Heat resistant alloy
- High temperature resistant and good oxidation resistance
- Cobalt, Nickel, Chromium and Tungsten Alloy
- Suitable for aerospace industry (such as gas turbine engines)
Product description Haynes HTA - Haynes 25 alloy
In modern gas turbine engines, Alloy 25 is largely being replaced by newer materials such as HAYNES 188 alloy and HAYNES 230® alloy which have improved properties. Although Alloy 25 is known for its good performance in sulfiding environments, the more modern material HAYNES HR-160 alloy performs even better. HAYNES 25 alloy can be formed both cold and hot using various techniques. The material can be welded with most standard techniques.
